Glad You Are Here, Hear Us Out

El-Melchizedek Empowerment Initiative for children and women is a silent programme that has been on-going for sometimes in some parts of having Elder Joseph Oloriegbe.

El-Melchizedek Empowerment Initiative is a children and women initiative or movement that is focusing exclusively on ending hunger, homeless, depression, child trafficking and sexual exploitation against women and children. This is the primary aim of this initiative as children and women are exposed to all forms of abuse in the absence of a father figure.

El-Melchizedek Empowerment Initiative is a grassroots movement focused on taking children of school age from the street, providing necessary or basic school needs, enrolling children in school, creating an atmosphere for children to feel accepted in the social environment, school environment and even in homes.

Women on the other hand have special place in the heart of El-Melchizedek Empowerment Initiative that is why women empowerment is a great deal for El-Melchizedek Empowerment Initiative, when a women is empowered in every sphere of life, then the women will stand strong.

This initiative promotes education of children, ending violence, sexual health and nights, as well as helping children through early childhood. This initiative at the movement has several number of school children benefiting from initiative by enabling them enjoy the rights and privileges of been in school, school bags, school shoes, writing materials, school uniforms were provided to pupils, while tuition fee of these pupils were paid to enable them have availability of primary education, in same vein, girl-child of the age of menstrual flows were given education and awareness was created for them to understand changes in their body system, hygiene and cleanliness and then how to adapt to changes that emanate from these natural cycle or flow; and then sanitary towels was always shared to them each time the sensitization and awareness is done.

One of the long term plan of El-MELCHIZEDEK EMPOWERMENT Initiative is to open a basic school in Kogi state primarily where children who are out of school are properly cared for, protected from all social vices and spiritually cared for women, on the other hand, homes will be built to carter for their shelter, feeding and empowerment programme will be put in place. But this is a long term project but with plans already in place. The children and women under El-MELCHIZEDEK EMPOWERMENT Initiative are taken care of but not as adequate as it should be reasons why this long term project is been thought of , while we continue with the short term project.

Hunger, poverty, lack and depression is a great storm and hurdles to cross while trying to make great impact in life, children and women can only do great exploits when these obstacles of hunger, poverty, lack, depression and sexual abuse is completely eradicated.

All these can only be eradicated when help comes to women and children; it is out of these that the convener and initiator of El-Melchizedek Empowerment Initiative for children and women in person of Elder Joseph Oloriegbe, proposed to set up outreaches to take care of children and women within reach; Ogori, in Ogori-Magongo Local Government in Kogi State which is the home country of the convener of El-MELCHIZEDEK EMPOWERMENT Initiative has felt the impact of El-MELCHIZEDEK EMPOWERMENT Initiative while, L.E.A primary school Kubwa in Federal Capital Territory has been a point of call in areas of feeding school children and providing some basic needs of the pupils. This is made possible as the spouse of the convener of El-MELCHIZEDEK EMPOWERMENT Initiative base in that vicinity.
